Krokholev. In 1979, he joined the creative group “BUKUB.” Since 1983, he has been a member of the Belarusian Union of Artists, and since 1988, a participant and one of the key authors of the creative association “Nemiga–17.” In 2013, he was awarded the Francysk Skaryna Medal; in 2016, the Special Prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus for many years of artistic activity; and in 2019, he received the title “Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus.”
Since the late 1970s, Anatoly Kuznetsov has been actively participating in republican, all-Union, and international exhibitions. Since the 1980s, he has been associated with the group “Nemiga–17,” where he implements collective projects, exhibitions, and artistic concepts. His artistic practice is based on the search for form as an expressive and constructive element. His works are presented in museums in Belarus, Russia, Latvia, the USA, France, the Netherlands, Italy, and are held in private collections in more than 20 countries.
The artist has over 40 years of exhibition activity: solo exhibitions have been held in Tokyo, Vienna, Moscow, Minsk, and St. Petersburg. His works are preserved in the collections of the National Art Museum of Belarus, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Minsk, the Marc Chagall Museum, and other institutions. Documentaries have been made about him, and more than 120 articles, interviews, and reviews have been published in the press. At least five personal catalogs have been issued for his anniversary exhibitions, as well as numerous collective publications. Information about the artist is included in the Belarusian Encyclopedia, directories of the Belarusian Union of Artists, and international catalogs and archives.
